Will that affect my printer?

it take 4 cartridges but if i only put the black one contained by, will it hurt the printer?

Will that affect my printer?

It should be fine, but it u don't have color ink, afterwards don't print color ink. This will not hurt the printer, it's just similar to u have the colors and a black one. The colors run out faster than the black ones. Think about this and you'll digit out that it won't hurt it.
Depending on the unit. It should be fine though. I am assuming this is an Epson?
No. A lot of printers are constructed this channel. It helps rescue money on color cartridges.
It won't hurt the printer, but it may not work if you don't have adjectives the cartridges installed.
It may hurt you.

Once the color cartridge is out. It importantly likely that the nozzles will dry and will block ink from flowing.

And some printers are designed to hurt the user when you try to run out things that gives profit to their Manufacturers. :D
Your printer will not work.

IF you do be in charge of to actually gain the printer going it will damage the print come first by way of allowing it to dry, warp it (for a thermal printer like Canon, Brother) or hurtful the crystals (piezoelectric printer like Epson)

Unless you want to buy a unusual printer, I would strongly discourage such a practice.

You will also notice that your print element is very incomplete if you do actually take the printer going, this is because all three colours are used surrounded by regular printing even monochrome black text.
