It is as safe as anything else. You pinch a larger risk commuting to work or driving in a vehicle each daylight, so I'd say that buying the printer would be safe and sound.

Honestly, yes it is totally safe. The laser within the machine is sheltered and not visible.
None of the studies on printers self harmful are confirmed even so.
